407- Chuck Vs. the First Fight
Volkoff and Chuck at the Bank
Volkoff, as Gregory Tuttle, takes Chuck to a bank under the guise of getting information about Volkoff. They go to the bank and shortly Sarah and Mary arrive and a hold up and shootout occurs. Meanwhile Chuck is mad at Sarah for kidnapping his mom.
The bank is located at 650 S. Spring St in Downtown LA. It was a Bank of America branch at one time and was closed at the time of filming
Sarah and Chuck Watch the Bartowski Home Blow Up
Ellie had been communicating with her dad via the personal ads in the newspaper (a thing of the past) until Shaw killed him. One day she discovers an ad about a Mustang. She realizes that her dad had left her the car and her and Devon go to find it and pick it up. They find the car in the Warner Village area of the WB lot.
Devon and Ellie Pickup Stephen's Car

408 - Chuck Vs. The Fear of Death
Chuck and Rye go off to Switzerland
After Chuck’s mom removes the Intersect from Chuck, the CIA tries all kinds of tests to try to bring it back. Finally, the assign Agent Jim Rye to “Scare” the Intersect back to Chuck’s conscious mind. So he and Agent Rye go to Gstaad, Switzerland to chase down “The Belgian,” Adelbert de Smet. However, the first scene shown is not Switzerland, but the Ötztal valley in the Austrian state of Tyrol. The view specifically showcases the expansive valley floor near the village of Längenfeld.
Chuck and Rye on the Gondola
Chuck and Rye travel to the villa via a gondola. The Gondola appears to be an old gondola car used at the Snowbird Ski Resort in Utah. A company, The Gondola Shop rebuilt an old Snowbird gondola, which look identical to the one used in this episode. The scene is heavily CG’d.

Chuck in The Lab
After “The Belgian,” de Smet kidnaps Chuck and Rye falls to his death after being shot, we see Chuck in a lab environment with De Smet and Dr. Mueller. They are trying to remove the repressed Intersect from Chuck.
Much, if not all, of this episode was filmed on the backlot of Warner Brother, in the lagoon area. This particular scene is located in the house nearest the lagoon.
Sarah and Casey go to the Thai Embassy
Morgan discovers that Anand Chanarong, the man who does the Belgian’s “dirty work,” is at the Thai Embassy in LA. There is no Thai Embassy in LA like that. Instead, This building was built for Ernesto & Edith Fabbri, and is located at 7 East 95th Street in New York City, in the Italian Renaissance revival style. Today, it is the House of the Redeemer and serves as a religious retreat house affiliated with the Episcopal Church.
Guards Outside the Lab
We see a view of the laboratory building and there are guards and workers surrounding it. This the external shot of the building where Chuck is being held. Interestingly, the deck is covered and even the railings are concealed. It appears the side facing has been painted green and the windows boarded up.
Building in Thailand
We are to suppose that Sarah arrives at this building in Thailand hoping to locate Chuck. However, this building is the “This is Ta Prohm” Buddhist temple located near the city of Siem Reapin, Cambodia, known for its dramatic tree roots overtaking the ancient structures. Not in Thailand
Sarah goes to the Bar to Find Chuck
Sarah is determined to go to Thailand to find Chuck. She goes to a bar to find someone who knows where The Belgian is. The bar is a structure on the WB lot in the Lagoon area.
The first pictures are the fighting arena outside the cabin. The temple in Cambodia has been CG’d into the scene as well as all the vegetation. The arena has been constructed in the area in front of the cabin and barn.
The bar is set up in the barn. Sarah goes into the bar.
Chuck Escaping From the Lab
As Chuck is being worked on by The Belgian and Dr. Mueller, he begins to hallucinate that he is escaping or being with Sarah. He thinks he is escape from the lab out an open window of the Lagoon House, as we are calling it. He sees the guards and tries to hide by falling out the window.
Chuck continues to hallucinate that he has escaped from the lab and runs into the woods near the lab. There are a number of clumps of bamboo surrounding the lagoon area of the WB backlot.
Sarah Goes to Rescue Chuck
After defeating the fighter, Sarah sets out to rescue Chuck. With Morgan acting as decoy, Sarah surprises the guards by swimming through the lagoon.
The lagoon is one of the main features of the jungle area of the WB backlot. However, it is only filled with water when it needs to be used. The depth is at most 3 feet in the center. When Sarah comes out of the water, she comes through a small clearing in the brush.

410 - Chuck Vs. The Balcony
Chuck Leaves the Restaurant to Call Off Proposal
Chuck and Sarah are at dinner. Chuck is planning to propose to Sarah. As you look at the window, you can see the teal-colored umbrellas. This area is an employee lunch area. Morgan is standing by with balloons and a horse-drawn carriage. It appears this all takes place on the Warner Brothers lot. When Chuck meets Morgan on the Street you can see the Steven J. Ross Theater down the street.
Agent Running Through the Vineyard
The opening scene shows a panoramic shot of a hillside vineyard with the caption Loire Valley, France. The location of this place is unknown, but probably not France. There is a man running through a vineyard being chased by men and dogs. This vineyard is most likely located in the wine country of Southern California. The hillside is mostly likely CG’d.
Agent Goes to the Wine Cellar
The agent enters the villa and makes his way to the wine cellar. The wine cellar is supposedly located in the basement of the Villa del Sol d’Ora. However no pictures currently exist online. Looks like another trip to visit the place.
Chuck and Sarah Arrive at the Villa in France
After the proposal debacle, Chuck and Sarah are sent to France to recover the missing microchip. They are on the patio of the Villa del Sol d’Oro. The other shot shows the patio looking out toward the garden
Chuck and Sarah Go to the Balcony
After leaving the patio, Chuck and Sarah climb the stairs to see the view from the balcony. It is here that Chuck decides to propose to Sarah, but gets interrupted by the mission.

As they reach the top of the stairs and step out onto the Balcony, they look out over a magnificent vineyard. The trouble is there is no vineyard out there. There was a giant green screen set up over the back of the property beyond the trees.

Beckman sends Chuck and Sarah back to France to make the drop of the fake nano-chip to Melville in exchange for money. Chuck watches Sarah from a window on the second floor of the Villa.
412 - Chuck Vs. The Gobbler
Moscow, Russia
Opening picture with the title Moscow, Russia. Except, it is not in Moscow.
It is the Buda Castle in Budapest, Hungary. Buda Castle, formerly also called the Royal Palace and the Royal Castle, is the historical castle and palace complex of the Hungarian kings.
Sarah Meets Mary Outside Volkoff's Office
After Sarah is arrested, she turns double agent to destroy Volkoff Industries. She arrives at Volkoff’s headquarters disguised with black hair. She meets Mary Bartowski there. After convincing Volkoff’s she’s on the level, she meets Mary at a spot outside away from surveillance cameras and guards. The area appears to be at the edge of the Warner Brothers jungle, all dressed up with lampposts and snow.
After Volkoff tests Sarah’s loyalty by having her break out of prison one of his henchman, Yuri the Gobbler. The team, with Chuck as prisoner and Casey and Morgan as guards, go to the Seabrook Federal Prison in Portland, Oregon. The exterior shots for the prison were filmed at the College of the Canyons – Valencia Campus at 26455 Rockwell Canyon Rd in Santa Clarita.
The interior scenes of the prison were filmed at the former Fred C. Nelles Youth Correctional Facility, a historic juvenile reform and detention center located at 11850 Whittier Boulevard in Whittier, California. Opened on July 1, 1891, it closed in May 2008. Much of the facility was torn down in 2018 to make way for a planned residential and commercial development. However, many of the historical building were preserved.
Sarah Arrives at the Prison Underneath a Bread Truck
To fulfill Volkoff’s order to bring back Yuri, Sarah travels to the prison underneath a bread truck making a delivery to the prison.
The location is the north side of the Student Center at College of the Canyons adjacent to Halsey Hall
Sarah Leaves with Yuri
After Chuck knocks out Yuri, the team loads him into the bread truck and Sarah leaves. Her exit path is through parking lot 8 at College of the Canyons. Notice the 8 sign insert.
Casey Goes to Meet Sarah at Trident Tower
While Casey, Chuck and Morgan are playing a board game, Casey receives a message from Sarah (it was really send by Volkoff) to meet him at the Trident Tower, 9th floor. The building is located in the Warner Corpoate Center at 21300 Victory Bl in Woodland Hillsr
406 - Chuck Vs. The Push Mix
The Contessa
Sarah and Mary discover a secret someone named “The Contessa” has the secret of the location of the Hydra Network. However, they soon learn is The Contessa is actually a ship. Volkoff takes them there. The actual ship is S.S Lane Victory SS Lane Victory is an American Victory-class cargo ship used in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam War. The ship was preserved in 1989 to serve as a museum ship in San Pedro. It was designated a U.S. National Historic Landmark.
Volkoff Goes to Orion's Cabin
Chuck fools Volkoff into thinking Orion is still alive and lures him to Orion’s Cabin. When Volkoff arrives, he is met by Chuck. The cabin is the same one used in a number of different episodes with one slight twist. Instead of using the front of the cabin adjacent to the barn, the side of the cabin is used with the facades removed revealing a porch. You can see the chimney alongside of the entrance with the facades on the porch area
414 - Chuck Vs. Seduction Impossible
Marrakesh, Morocco
The opening scene should three images of Marrakesh, Morocco. The first image is indeed the minaret of the Koutoubia Mosque, Marrakesh’s best-known landmark. It’s about 77 m (253 ft) tall, with the brass-ball finial on top and carved panels on each face.
However, the next two shots are not in Morocco at all. They are of the Luxor Temple in Luxor, Egypt. The rows of papyrus-bundle columns and massive sandstone blocks are ancient Egyptian. The pale, colonial-era building behind them is the Winter Palace Hotel on Luxor’s Nile Corniche.
The next picture is the great colonnade of Amenhotep III, with the entrance pylon on the left. The minaret rising behind the ruins belongs to the Abu Haggag Mosque, which is built right on top of the temple.
Casey Tries to Visit Kathleen
After the team returns from Morocco and at the encouragement of his daughter, Casey works up his courage to visit with Kathleen, his fiancée from his Alex Colburn days. He is bitterly disappointed. The house is located on the Warner Brothers lot on Midwest St.
