Synopsis

Chuck is dreaming of Sarah on his bed in a black negligee. Then it turns to a nightmare as he asks about her killing Mauser and she pulls a knife on him. He wakes up screaming.

At the Buy More a famous rock star, Tyler Martin, is making an appearance. Chuck spots a person in the crowd he thinks is planting a weapon. He finds a grenade when he investigates and calls Casey and Sarah. While trying to evacuate the bomb Sarah and Casey have to avoid Lester, Jeff and Morgan. They end up placing the grenade in a supply closet and it explodes harmlessly.

Beckman tells the team to bring Tyler in for questioning because the grenade is North African and he just toured Africa. Getting Tyler away from the fans becomes a job for Sarah, who uses her seduction skills to lure him away. Casey then tranquillizes him and they take him to Casey’s apartment.

Tyler wakes up sooner than they expected and gets tranqed again so Chuck can be left to watch him while Casey and Sarah investigate the grenade and the person who planted it. When Tyler wakes up again he takes off with Chuck following after him for a night out.

The Buy More gang is looking for a golden ticket in Tyler’s CD’s and Morgan finds it. He can bring a guest to go backstage for Tyler’s concert and has a contest for the privilege. Jeff wins the contest but Morgan convinces him to let Mike’s friend use it ( he later sells it).

Tyler and Chuck are having fun with some women but Chuck flashes on the necklace of a woman they are partying with. They are bad guys and Chuck tries to convince Tyler to leave. He is almost killed by knives as the women attack and Chuck escapes via elevator. The women catch up to him, as does Tyler, but Casey and Sarah arrive to save them.

Sarah yells at Chuck for not following instructions while Casey continues to tranquilize Tyler to keep him under control. Chuck flashes on Tyler’s tattoo and tells them it is about a reactor being built in Africa. Chuck is tranquilized by Casey when he tries to defend himself and explain he deserves time off too.

Beckman tells them that Tyler has to keep his concert date so they can catch the bomber and Chuck convinces him. Chuck’s plan to help Tyler when the bomber arrives is messed up by Tyler and they run. Sarah and Casey catch up to save them.

Chuck and Sarah talk and Chuck confronts her about Mauser. She explains she had to protect him and Mauser threatened to expose him. She explains that she forgets that he is not used to this life and suggests it will be good for him to take time off. Chuck agrees until he sees Casey and Sarah leaving on a mission. Not wanting to be left behind, he jumps in the car as they are leaving.

Points of Interest

• The couple on their second honeymoon are the same couple (same actors) as the couple on their anniversary in Chuck vs the Seduction, when he climbed on their balcony.
• Dominic Monaghan also played a drug addled rock star in Lost. (Tyler Martin and Charlie Pace).
• The 3D effects of the episode included a knife and grenade thrown at the audience, the grenade explosion and a tunnel effect inside the air ducts.
